The Community Midwife
We have a community midwife attached to the surgery. She is here to help expectant mothers with all aspects of health care during pregnancy and to look after mother and baby in the early postnatal period. She is available at the surgery during the Wednesday morning antenatal clinics.
The district nurses specialise in assessing and providing nursing care to those who are unable to attend the surgery. They will give support and advice to patients and carers and will liaise with other agencies on your behalf. The District Nurses can be contacted on 0333 300 0950.
Your doctor may refer you to the Intermediate Care team for assessment if you require a lot of care to manage at home. We have an Intermediate Care nurse attached to the practice. The aim of this service is to help people stay at home and reduce the need for admissions to hospital. A social worker is also attached to this service.
